<p>:This extraordinary wine is only produced in particularly good vintages. An intense, bright ruby red colour as well as an elegant and pleasantly intense aroma of ripe cherries and delicate berries distinguish this wine. On the palate it develops light notes of vanilla and a pleasant full-bodiedness. It has a good structure and long persistence.Grape varierty:Pinot Noir – Alto Adige DOC ReserveProduction area:The selected grapes come from an estate vineyard extended on the STROBLHOF in the municipality of Eppan at 500 metres above sea level. The vineyards face south-east. Only the best grapes from old vines are vinified for the Riserva.Vinification:Maceration and fermentation in oak vats for 23 days with three pumpovers per day in the first week. Maturation for 12 months in French barriques, 25% new, the rest second and third passage. Then ageing for 8 months in 30 and 40 hl oak casks before bottling. This is followed by refinement in the bottle for over 12 months.Food pairing:It is an excellent accompaniment to strong meat dishes, game and spicy cheese.
