<p> Porter’s Modern Classic Gin (70CL, 41.5% Vol.)</p><p> This tiny independent group based in Adberdeen is producing some serious gin with outsized flavor considering its size. Using unique botanicals and a cold distillation method and meticulous blending techniques, the gins are big in flavor and texture without being harsh on the palate. The Modern Dry has a mostly classic recipe that highlights juniper, coriander, angelica, cassia, lemon, cinnamon and more, but the additions of Buddha’s Hand citrus, pink pepper and almonds bring this otherwise familiar and solid gin into a new and exciting territory. We found notes that reminded us of dried fireweed, lime blossom tea, preserved lime, lemon verbena and freshly cracked spices.</p>
