<p>Château De Tracy Pouilly Fumé, Loire Valley, France, 2023Grape variety, 100% Sauvignon Blanc, organic (not certified), 8 months’ ageing in bulk with some lees stirring, lightly fined & filtered before bottling.Located at the northern edge of the appellation De Tracy’s vineyard is south-west facing, on flint and Kimmeridgian soils and extends from “Tracy hill” to the “Champs de Cris” plateau. 32 hectares are in production.Classic, elegant Pouilly-Fumé, pale gold with silver highlights.The first nose is very intense and complex mixing notes of tropical fruits, honeysuckle and lemon. With aeration, it reveals more complex notes of boxwood, followed by a mineral and pepper that underline an interesting freshness.On the palate the suave attack is accompanied by an aromatic return on the citrus fruits. The mouth quickly gains in vivacity and tilts like for the nose, on mineral, lime and grapefruit aromas. A toasted hint in the finish provides a nice and pleasant length.Critic’s Tasting Note:”Already very open on citrus, pepper, and pear, this wine builds its balance around well-measured fresh vegetal notes and a slightly saline finish.
