<p>Primitivo di Manduria Cantine San Marzano 60 years 2018</p><p> Sixty Years Primitivo di Manduria D.O.P.</p><p><p> grape variety: Primitivo di Manduria 100%</p></p><p>of the primitive sixty-year-old</p><p>In San Marzano viticulture has a thousand-year history, which can be seen in its older vineyards, rich in centuries-old clones. From this precious heritage of sapling vineyards over sixty years old, a wine is born, which is the most beautiful story of our territory.</p><p><p>grape variety: Primitivo.</p><p>Area: Very old vineyards selected in the municipalities of San Marzano (TA) and Sava (TA).</p><p>Soil: Residual red soil with a fine texture with a calcareous substrate, sparse rocky outcrops and an intense presence of iron oxides.</p><p>Cultivation: Saplings at least sixty years old (5,000 per hectare).</p><p>Harvest: Second half of September.</p><p>Winemaking: The grapes, in an advanced state of ripeness, are harvested manually. Maceration takes place for 18 days on 80% of the mass and for 25 days on 20%, with indigenous yeasts selected in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 24-26 °C.</p><p>Aging: In French and American oak barriques for 12 months.</p><p>Organoleptic characteristics: Very intense and elegant ruby red colour; broad and complex bouquet, fruity, with hints of plums, cherry jam and notes of tobacco, slightly spicy; wine with great body, soft and rich in noble tannins, with a finish that gives notes of cocoa, coffee and vanilla.</p><p>Pairings: Robust first courses, red meats and game. Meditation wine.</p><p>Serve at: 18°C.</p></p><p>
