<p>Raka Quinary is a bold, complex, quality blend from the Klein River in South Africa’s Western Cape. Dark plum in colour with notes of blackberries, plum, spicy hints and cedar against a cigar box background. The wine is well balanced with mouth filling fruit, elegant oak flavours and silky tannins.Raka is the lifelong dream of Piet Dreyer, formally a fisherman who named his fishing boat ‘Raka’ after the half man, half beast creature that was as black as the night in the Afrikaans poem by N.P. van Wyk Louw. He wanted a black vessel so that he would not have to repaint it so often from the stains of squid ink and we love these very black bottles of fantastic SA red wines.Raka Quinary 2021</p>
