<p>Rémy Martin’s famous VSOP finished in some of the finest casks in France. </p><p><em>Charente </em>is an historic town in the Aquitaine region of France — smack dab in the middle of the <em>Grand Champagne Cru of Cognac. </em>As Catherine I rose from servant to Czarina of Russia and Pope Benedict XIII was installed in the Vatican, the House of Rémy Martin was founded on the banks of the <em>Charente River </em>nearly three hundred years ago in <em>1724</em>. They began as a trading house run by Paul-Emile Rémy Martin. Today, it’s <em>one of the world’s largest and best-known </em>Cognac houses with a dozen core offerings and many special releases and limited editions.</p><p><em>Rémy Martin VSOP Mature Cask Finish Cognac </em>is going to be limited to the remaining bottles in stock. Once they are gone, they will be gone… <em>never to return. </em>This fine Cognac starts as the traditional Rémy VSOP that we know and love — 55% Grand Champaign grapes and 45% Petite Champaign grapes, aged from four to twelve years. The difference is that after the various agings are married they are allowed to finish barrels that held Cognac for<em> twenty years</em>.
