<p>RIOJA: Fantastic example of a mature Rioja in its’ prime from an organic family winery. Dark brooding fruit with an explosion of black plums which have been left out in the sunshine. Great tertiary development from age with leather, prune, black olive and cigar box aromas. Rioja Reserva by definition must have been kept in oak barrels for at least a year, then aged in bottle for at least another 2, but Bagordi have blown those specs out of the water. Their philosophy is guided by producing the best possible wine, not a balance sheet (lucky for some).
