<p>Rioja Vega Edicion Limitada Tempranillo Blanco, La Rioja, Spain, 2024Grape: 100% Tempranillo Blanco (a rare version of the much more common red Tempranillo variety) with six months on its lees in French oak with regular battonage (lees stirring)Producer Tasting Note:Straw-yellow colour, glyceride, very bright.Complex and expressive aromas, intense notes of tropical fruits and white flowers over delicate hints of herbs.Unctuous and sweet silky texture from the ageing on its fine lees in French oak barrels. A complex wine which will keep well for many years to come.The grapes come from a dry-farmed hillside plot with low organic matter and a well-balanced soil structure. The vineyard is managed with half of the vines trained as bush vines and the other half on trellises. Production is very low, ensuring quality and concentration.Temperatures are kept low from the pre-dawn harvest until the gentle extraction of the must. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in barrels of various origins and toasting levels for 30 days. Subsequently, bâtonnage is performed to keep the fine lees in suspension, enhancing texture and complexity.Food Match: Try with pate, cheese and tapas.
