<p>A premium Dominican Rum, made from fresh local sugar cane juice.</p><p>Based in <em>Denmark</em>, <em>1423 </em>– World Class Spirits is a distributor of premium Spirits. Their story began at a Whisky fair in Denmark. Three friends <em>Bintu, Joshua, </em>and <em>Glenn </em>came to taste fine Whisky but fell in love with premium Rum instead. I guess you really can’t choose who you fall in love with, huh. Anyway, the friends soon bought their very own barrel of Rum and released it in <em>2009</em>. Today, there are 5 proud owners (2 more friends wanted to be a part of the awesome project) of 1423 and they offer 3 brands: S.B.S, Ron Compañero, and Ron Esclavo.</p><p><em>Ron Esclavo</em> is a brand of <em>premium Rum</em>, crafted from R to M in the Dominican Republic. Esclavo means ‘slave’ in Spanish and it’s there to remember the dark history of Rum. It’s made by<em> Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos</em>, the largest Spirits producer on the island. They harvest their own sugarcanes and everything from fermentation, distillation to bottling takes place in the Dominican Republic.</p><p><em>Ron Esclavo Gran Reserva</em> is made from fresh sugar cane juice and aged tropically in a combo of <em>American and French oak</em> for 5 years. Bottled at<em> 80 proof</em>, this lovely premium Dominican Rum is pleasantly sweet but still complex with flavors of fresh vanilla, coffee, and dark chocolate. It’s ideal for sipping neat or in tropical cocktails; whatever floats your boat!</p>
