<p>RUM NATION – DEMERARA SOLERA N.14 (70CL, 40.0% Vol.)Rum Nation Demerara Solera N° 14 comes from sugar cane molasses grown in British Guiana, and is a careful blend of rums of different ages, distilled both in pot stills (richer and fuller-bodied) and in column stills (for a lighter and easier to drink base). Mainly aged in American ex-Bourbon barrels, which impart creamy sweetness, it is then aged for 12 months in fresh sherry barrels (Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso) to enrich its spicy character. A small percentage of very old Enmore rum is finally added to the blend for a touch of further complexity.</p><p>Aroma: Dark, musky, very rich in esters (fermented fruit and glue), with notes of cola, myrtle and bergamot tea. Palate: Viscous, rich in sugar cane molasses. Dark chocolate, coffee, sultanas and in the background a toasted and slightly bitter hint with notes of herbs (black tea and gentian). Dark and sweet at the same time. Finish: Eternal continuation of contrasting notes of bitter herbs and sugary sweetness. In the end the sweetness prevails: almost syrupy and slightly vinous, like a vermouth. </p>
