It is located in Monsaraz — an <em>ancient</em> hilltop town on the Guadiana River in eastern Portugal that has been important as a fortified trade location for more than <em>2500 years</em>. Ancient Hispanic tribes, Romans, Visigoths, Moorish Berbers, and more have captured and recaptured this location. Sharish Gin was founded here in <em>2013</em>, and all of those ancient cultures have influenced their range of Gins.</p><p>How often is a Gin described as “beautiful?” <em>Sharish Blue Magic Gin</em> is — at its heart — the core Gin Spirit of Sharish. This means that the botanicals include local oranges and lemons, and regional apples along with the more traditional juniper, coriander, cinnamon, clove, and vanilla. Uniquely, the Spirit base is 50% molasses, 15% rice, and 35% wheat.
