<p> SHINOBU Blended Whiskey Mizunara Oak Finish (70CL, 43.0% Vol.)</p><p> Niigata is known in Japan for its “Three White Treasures”, namely snow, rice and sake, and a blessed natural environment for the source of pure water. Produced in Niigata, SHINOBU (meaning “Forbearance” in Japanese) whiskey is handcrafted by the creative master blender, Mr. Usami, carefully selecting the whiskey from several distilleries which is first reserved in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon barrels and then finished them with high-quality Japanese Mizunara oak. The blended expression contains 50% malt and 50% wheat. The result is a unique fusion of flavors and a dynamic explosion on the palate yet so smooth and easy to drink. All natural without dyes.</p><p><p> Tasting notes</p><p> Lightly toasted walnuts, jellied pear and honeysuckle all emerge from the nose of this Japanese whisky. Black pepper and clove come through early on the palate, ripe citrus and cooked apples develop before a long, smooth finish.</p><p> Nose: butter, coconut candy, mint, grass, wood.</p><p> Palate: soft, a little oily, hints of Chinese incense, butter, vanilla.</p><p> Finish: Sandalwood, Vanilla.</p></p>
