Sibona Grappa Riserva Rum Barrels (0.5L, 44% Vol.)

This special Grappa Riserva already aged for a long period in oak wood was then put to rest for several months in barrels already used previously, to age the “Rum” b> of some of the most prestigious distilleries. The particular period in Rum barrels was tested by us in an innovative way on Grappa and with exceptional results from a qualitative point of view. The rich, elaborate aroma, with spicy notes and the elegant, distinct flavour, with notes of coffee and vanilla and a persistent finish, are very reminiscent of that of the Rum already contained in these barrels.

Raw material: Pomace (mainly from Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo vines), from grapes harvested fresh during the harvest and selected Sibona.

Distillation: Totally in-house, in copper stills, thanks to the wise experience of our oenologists-master distillers.

Refinement: for a long period in stainless steel tanks.

Aging: first for 2 years in medium capacity classic oak barrels and then in Rum barrels for a further 2 years (total stay in wood for 4 years).

Alcohol content : 44% vol.

Bottle: special and elegant graduated Sibona bottle with side notches indicating the contents and pouring spout.

Case: Elegant cylindrical case, with top closure.

Capacity : 50 cl.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS

Color : Amber.

Aroma: Rich, elaborate, with hints of spices and tobacco

Flavor: Elegant, distinct, with notes of coffee and vanilla and a persistent finish

Pairing: Dried fruit, nuts, almonds, sweets and chocolate. Also delicious with mature cheeses. Also perfect pairing with cigar.

Tasting Tips: taste at a temperature of approximately 18°C, in a classic tulip glass or balloon glass with or without stem
