<p>In the words of Forbes: No clowning around with this ‘really good’ Whiskey.</p><p>In <em>2019</em>, a certain American extreme metal band from <em>Des Moines, Iowa,</em> partnered with a certain award-winning<em> Cedar Ridge Distillery</em>, also from Iowa. And Slipknot No.9 Iowa Whiskey was born. Mainly from corn that’s grown at the Cellar Ridge Distillery farm in Winthrop, Iowa. Blended by percussionist<em> Shawn Crahan</em>, whom you probably know as “the Clown”, this is a really good blend of Straight Bourbon and Straight Rye Whiskeys. The ratio is 60% 3-4YO Bourbon and 40% 3-4YO Rye. The name comes from the number of band members. While some people might = sh*t, this blend certainly = gold all the way. We know a good celeb collab when we see one. Great for true Maggots and other Whiskey die-hard fans alike.</p><p>Cedar Ridge Distillery started as<em> Cedar Ridge Winery by Jeff Quint in 2005</em> where they distilled some of the grape juice into Brandies. The Whiskey needed to age a few years before the first Bourbon release came out in <em>2010</em>. And yes, the pundits took notice, naming them<em> “2017 Distiller of the Year”</em> and<em> “Best American Craft Whiskey” in 2016.</em> They meticulously oversee every step of production from grain to glass.</p>
