<p>A Peat project gone Stellar!</p><p><em>Smokehead</em> is a peat project of <em>Ian Macleod Distillers</em>, a family company that has been producing different Whisky for three generations. The identity of the exact distillery is unknown and the mystery to this almost <em>cult brand</em> has got a firm base of <em>thirsty followers</em>. The approach to the production of this <em>phenolic Islay</em> malt is as fresh and crisp as this straightforward dram itself. As the Whisky industry searches for new ways of presenting and selling their products, there are those few that start a <em>new wave</em> of something different. And that is what this <em>peat bullet</em> is all about as it goes away from classic Scotch drinkers and lures more drinkers into this peaty, smoky and heathery cave!</p><p><em>Smokehead </em>is a rich, seaweedy, and <em>intensely peated</em> Islay malt Whisky. It bears no age statement and we don’t know in which barrels it was matured. But, hey, we don’t care as long as we can take a ride on this <em>explosive rollercoaster </em>of peat, smoke and spice!</p>
