Finish: Sweet, fruity, with lychee aftertasteThe Hibiki 17 Year Old Blended Whisky is made from a combination of malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, as well as grain whisky from the Chita distillery. The whisky is then aged for a minimum of 17 years in a combination of American white oak casks, sherry casks, and Japanese Mizunara oak casks. The resulting whisky is a symphony of flavours and aromas, with notes of honey, vanilla, and oak on the nose, and flavours of dried fruit, caramel, and spice on the palate. The Mizunara oak casks in particular impart a unique flavour profile to the whisky, with hints of sandalwood, incense, and Japanese spice.Critic’s Tasting Note:”Colour: Old Gold, Amber Border.
