<p>Taaibosch Crescendo feels like a thoughtful expression of Stellenbosch terroir and Bordeaux-style elegance: Cabernet Franc leads the blend, giving the wine its refined structure and dark-fruit core, while Merlot and a hint of Cabernet Sauvignon add softness and depth. The grapes are gently handled — hand-picked, gravity-fed into fermentation, cold-soaked and then given extended maceration — to coax out concentrated fruit, colour and subtle complexity. Aging in a mix of oak barrels, large foudres and cement allows the wine to develop nuance: hints of cedar, graphite, dark berry, and a faint herbal/mineral underlay emerge. On the palate, it’s silky yet grounded: chalky, fine tannins support blackcurrant and plum fruit, while a touch of earthiness and savoury spice lingers on the finish.
