<p>Talisker reinvented.</p><p><em>Talisker</em> distillery was founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskil at Carbost, on the <em>Isle of Skye</em>. In all these years Talisker’s distillation method has <em>remained virtually</em> unchanged, refusing to go with the flow of the industry, well…asides from the necessary health and safety improvements. As the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, Talisker’s drams are quite<em> idiosyncratic</em>, defining an Island Malt style that is very much their own.</p><p><em>Talisker 57 North</em> is a no age statement, cask strength bottling that bears the name of the <em>57th</em> north line of latitude where the Isle of Skye lies. Matured exclusively in American oak refill casks at the shores of <em>Loch Harport</em>, this dram is pretty rich in smoke and peat, packs a powerful punch at 57% alcohol and is one of the most interesting expressions of Talisker distillery. This is Talisker’s trademark taste brought surprisingly to a <em>whole new level of intensity and character</em>! </p>
