<p>The classic London Dry Gin that defined the genre for generations. </p><p>Founded by <em>Charles Tanqueray</em> in 1930, this Gin’s famous green-glass bottles have been a staple of the back-bar since before we wore short pants to the pub on Sundays. Their lineup is one of the Gins that<em> defined England to the cocktail-making world.</em> Put a bottle of Tanqueray on a double-decker bus next to a big red phone booth with a picture of the Queen in a bowler hat… it just doesn’t get <em>more British than that.</em> Now made by <em>Diageo </em>in Scotland, Tanqueray became the number one selling Gin in the world in 2016.</p><p>If there were a contest to determine the GOAT (Gin Of All Time), <em>Tanqueray London Dry Gin</em> would be in the finals. A few years ago they took a poll of bartenders all over the world and this Gin was #1. And in a world where it seems that upstart Gin-makers are in a race to see who can have the largest list of botanicals, Tanqueray still famously has<em> only four </em>— mixed in a ratio and procedure that still remains a <em>closely-held secret. </em>But those botanicals are juniper (of course), coriander, angelica root, and licorice. <em>It’s a timeless classic.</em></p>
