<p>A classic Italian Aperitif that reaches back in time to rediscover a soothing dram from the past. </p><p>After a few years in the jewelry and gem business, <em>Peter Schaf</em> co-founded his first Spirits business — Liqueurs de France — where he developed speciality Liqueurs, including<em> twenty-five Absinthes.</em> Then, in 2006 he co-founded his second Spirits business. And it is at his <em>Tempus Fugit Spirits</em> that he has been turned loose to create and promote a<em> wide range of historically-inspired Spirits </em>— from Absinth and Gin to Aperitifs, Bitters, Cream Liqueurs, Fernet, Vermouth, and many other delicious creations.</p><p>One of Peter’s most popular creations is <em>Tempus Fugit Gran Classico Bitter</em> — an Aperitif that follows the original recipe for an old Spirit called <em>“The Italian Bitter of Turin.”</em> This herbal Liqueur is infused with twenty-five aromatic herbs, spices, roots, and botanicals. The complete recipe is kept confidential, but it includes wormwood, gentian, bitter orange peel, rhubarb, and hyssop. At 28% ABV, it’s <em>fine to pour over ice on it’s own.</em> But it also makes a delightful swap-out for either Vermouth or Campari in your favorite cocktail.
