<p>That boutique-y rum company Diamond Dist. (Versailles Still), Guyana, Batch 3 – 14 YO (50CL, 55.6% Vol.) </p><p><p>Batch #2 of Versailles was distilled at the Diamond Distillery, in Guyana, with the famous wooden still called Versailles: a wooden still sounds strange, a little like a chocolate teapot or a glass hammer, as this label shows us. And yet, the rum that comes out sounds much less strange! This Versailles is aged for 14 years, bottled at 55.6%, not cold filtered and not artificially coloured, it is a limited edition of 2207 specimens. </p></p><p>TASTING NOTES: </p><p><p>Aroma: Tobacco, ginger root, raspberries, then sweeter notes of vanilla and dark berries. </p></p><p>Palate: Black fruit, green apple and smoky, charcoal notes through citrus peel, leather and toffee nougat. Pineapple. </p><p><p>Finish: Long and spicy, really complex. </p></p>
