You don’t have to worry about remembering that name, though, as in June 2015 this Irish distillery was renamed the <em>Royal Oak Distillery.</em> Located in County Carlow in Ireland’s Ancient East region, the distillery boasts a really cool location: the Holloden House, which is an 18th century estate where all 3 styles of their hand-crafted The Busker Irish whiskey are crafted. These guys use both column and pot stills and they age their fine Spirits in <em>all kinds of barrels</em>, including Bourbon barrels from Kentucky, sherry butts from Jerez, rum barrels from the Caribbean and the rare<em> Cantine Florio 1833 Sicilian Marsala Wine casks</em>. You can taste their signature Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth and all of its components: Single Grain, Single Malt and Single Pot Still Whiskey as individual offerings.</p><p><em>The Busker Single Malt </em>was crafted from <em>100% malted barley</em> at one single distillery. Distilled in large copper stills and aged in a combination of<em> ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks</em>, this offering gives you enough complexity to keep the connoisseur in you satisfied. Clocking in at<em> 88.6</em> proof, this is a beautifully complex Irish Single Malt that’s best enjoyed neat or on the rocks so you can really appreciate all the intense flavors of rich, chocolate notes, rounding up with a sweet, creamy finish.</p>
