<p>A special edition, small batch Whisky that tells an inspiring story.</p><p><em>The Douglas Laing Company</em> was founded in <em>1948 </em>by — you guessed it — <em>Douglas Laing. </em>They have a stellar reputation as one of the leading independent bottlers of Scotch Whisky in the United Kingdom. They started as by purchasing single casks of fine Single Malts. Then they grew to create their own blends. Now they even commission small batch production from some of the<em> finest Whisky makers in Scotland</em> and a few small shops too. This has allowed them to develop a solid range of private-label products to round out the offerings.</p><p>Part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series, <em>The Gauldrons Campbeltown Blended Malt Whisky</em> is a special edition small batch Whisky. Each batch is labeled with its individual number. There’s no artificial coloring and this spectacular dram is, of course, not chill-filtered. Now a little bit of the back story. Gauldrons means <em>‘Bay of Storms’ </em>and inspiration for this Whisky comes from the dark stormy coves off the coast of <em>Campbeltowns</em>. It was there that the <em>King of Scotland Robert the Bruce</em> saw a spider attempting to build a web over and over again. Robert took that as inspiration to not give up and keep fighting. Hence, the golden spider web on the label. So, never give up on finding the perfect Whisky? </p>
