<p>Hardcore work dedication resulting in a worthy core range addition. Purchased, sold, mothballed, and opened again four times — it’s been a pretty rocky ride for the 1967-opened <em>The GlenAllachie Distillery.</em></p><p>But it was always meant to be: in 2017 Master Distiller Billy Walker and partners merged this under-utilized distiller gem with a few other Whisky brands to form The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited. With a new wind in their sails, Walker and Co. dished out a new core range of four Single Malt Whiskies in the Speyside style.</p><p>A 2019 addition to the GlenAllachie core range, this <em>15 Year Old Single Malt </em>has been worked on and perfected by the Master Distiller Billy Walker since day one. That’s what we call dedication!</p><p>The Whisky was treated to a finishing period in a combination of <em>Pedro Ximénez</em> and<em> Oloroso Sherry</em> puncheons and hogsheads. To retain this rich, full flavor, it was bottled at Cask Strength of <em>46%</em> ABV (90 Proof).</p><p>Praised as the <em>jewel in their crown</em>, Walker described this expression as having an “exceptional balance of the distillery’s spirit and the influence of the Sherry casks used during maturation.” We couldn’t agree more.</p><p>You want to hear about <em>the awards,</em> don’t you?
