<p>An homage to Scotch.</p><p>In 1824 <em>George Smith </em>made a daring move and got a license to legally produce single malt Whisky. Needless to say the neighboring smugglers weren’t all too happy about it, so for protection he had to carry not one, but <em>two guns </em>at all times. Imagine that!</p><p>Released in <em>2014</em>, The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve has been matured in <em>first fill American oak.</em> This wood gives it a <em>spicy vanilla kick.</em> The <em>“founder” </em>refers to George Smith, who gained his distilling license in <em>1824</em>, and from that the legend of <em>The Glenlivet </em>was born. This expression of the <em>World-renowned</em> malt pays homage to the history of Glenlivet as well as the future. It has the typical Glenlivet <em>fruity notes</em> but is also packed full of <em>caramel sweetness</em>. The result is <em>smooth </em>and <em>creamy</em>, a very fine malt to dedicate to a very important man.</p>
