<p>Three barrels, one incredible Scotch blend.</p><p>Founded in <em>1824</em>, The Macallan is one of the <em>“Big 3”</em> Single Malts in Scotland. Fortunately, they have achieved this scale <em>without sacrificing quality</em>. A change in UK labeling laws aced them out of their “Speyside” designation. But just because the British Parliament gerrymandered the “official” boundaries doesn’t mean Whisky-lovers have to pay any attention.</p><p>Their achievements are <em>numerous</em> — including setting the <em>record price</em> ever paid at auction for a single bottle of Scotch. They produce a very broad range of world-class Single Malt Whiskies that have a <em>huge global following</em>.</p><p><em>The Macallan Triple Cask</em> range (previously known as The Fine Oak) is created by the masters blending an intricate combination of different casks: <em>European and American Sherry-seasoned oak and ex-Bourbon casks.</em> What we get is a complex and rich harmony of various wood influences. Speaking of wood, The Macallan is the only distillery crafting fresh Sherry-seasoned casks in the world, so this Spirit is <em>unique as hell.</em> Twelve years in those casks made this Scotch light and zesty with a smooth character teeming with flavors and aromas of citrus, fresh oak, nutmeg and some vanilla delicacy. </p>
