<p>As much as we’d love to advocate how great an English rosé can be during the colder months, especially during a crisp blue-sky winter’s day, we do clamber most winter days for a hearty red, especially when the clouds come over and the cold sets in which is exactly why we created this case.</p><p>Tried and tested by the team at the English Vine these are among our favourite English red wines that we can vouch for in the fullest. In all a great selection made from different grape varieties so you can explore what the UK has to offer.</p><p>Shotley Pinot Noir is a firm favourite here at the English Vine. It’s a bold red, super smooth and a definite winner with a Sunday Roast and/or cheeseboard. Next we have two delicious Pinot Noirs. Heppington Pinot Noir is a lighter, fruity style Pinot perfect for everyday sipping in front of the fire with a good book. The other is Litmus Red Pinot Noir, reminiscent of a French Pinot, it is slightly more complex but equally as brilliant.</p><p>We’ve also included the Bolney Lychgate red as it’s an easy drinking blend from one of the top winemakers in England and perfect with a winter hotpot. Whitehall Nethercote Hill is next – a delicious wine from Wiltshire, it is a hearty red which is packed with flavour and vegan friendly. Finally, one of our favourite’s is the Winbirri Signature. This is a bold red; It’s smooth and has fantastic plum fruity flavours with that oaked Rioja finish. </p><p>So, sit back, grab a good book, light the fire and settle in with this little lot.</p><p>(Some images are for illustrative purposes only).</p>
