<p>Tullibardine has revamped their core offering and introduced Tullibardine Sovereign Single Malt — classic, fruit-forward Highland Single Malt perfect for your daily dram.</p><p>If we set out to find the oldest brewing and distilling spot in Scotland, Tullibardine would definitely be in the running. Back in the 15th century, <em>King James IV </em>— a young, strapping man — stopped in to the local brewery here on the way to his coronation. The old brewery was transformed into a distillery back in <em>1946 </em>and has become a solid maker of <em>Single Malt Whisky</em>. After a brief closing in 1995, it was brought back to life in 2003 — and we’re all pretty happy about that. They produce a<em> wide range</em> of aged Single Malts, several finished “double-wood” Whiskies, and some older limited editions — any of them a <em>solid and approachable daily dram.</em></p><p>Since acquiring the Tullibardine Distillery in 2011, <em>Picard Vins & Spiritueux</em> has been working hard to refine the product line and raise the profile of the classic Highland Spirit. <em>Tullibardine Sovereign</em> is the core of their Signature series and evidence of that successful effort. This Single Malt is made in copper pot stills and aged in <em>first-fill Bourbon casks</em>. And although there is no official age statement, this dram clocks in at a minimum of five years and is bottled at <em>43% </em>ABV. </p>
