<p>If Uncle Val is anything like this Gin, he must be a great guy. </p><p>At the heart 3 Badge Beverage Corp. is August Sebastiani — <em>fourth generation grandson</em> of Samuele Sebastiani, founder of Sebastiani Winery in Sonoma. This family has been making premium adult beverages for a long time. Interestingly, Sebastiani Winery was the only California winery that <em>didn’t close during prohibition</em>. How’d they pulled that off?</p><p>Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin is <em>named after August’s favorite uncle </em>in Italy — Valerio Cecchetti. Evidently, Uncle Val is a smart guy who grows fresh herbs and vegetables at home and the <em>botanical mix was culled from his garden</em>.</p><p>This includes juniper, lemon, sage, lavender, and cucumber. Uncle Val’s Gin is perfectly balanced, and August says that’s because they don’t just toss all of the botanicals in the infuser. Each one is <em>steeped for a different amount of time</em> to get things just right. We say “job well-done,” and most people agree. In fact, it pulled down a rare 96 points from Tasting Panel Magazine along with a long list of accolades and awards.</p>
