The aftertaste returns on toast.</p><p><p>THE HISTORY – Champagne Brut “Cuvée Saint Pétersbourg” – Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin </p><p> Barbe Nicole Ponsardin, better known as the “Clicquot widow”, in 1814 managed to overcome the continental blockade that immobilized Europe in trade, landing her Champagne in St. Petersburg. The success was incredible and today, the Champagne Brut “Cuvée Saint Pètersbourg” from the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin maison is dedicated to the resourcefulness of Madame Clicquot-Ponsardin. It has a strong character, given it by the pinot noir that predominates in the cuvée, but still remains elegant and soft. </p><p> Intense straw yellow with golden reflections.
