A refreshing drink made with the re-hydrated skins of skin-fermented Viognier from California (originally used for our Where’s Linus Orange wine, see above), from a hillside vineyard with rocky volcanic soils. Their fast draining in combination with the high winds and afternoon sun exposure leads to incredibly thick and flavorful skins – perfect piquette material!

Grapes: Viognier

Vineyard: Shannon Home Ranch in Clearlake Oaks, CA. Organically farmed vineyard at 1600 ft ALS and South-East facing. Poor volcanic soils. Making of: the grape pomace was rehydrated and then spontaneously fermented, including malolactic fermentation. Canned without fining, filtration or any additional SO2 adds. Carbonated to a CO2 level of 0.38g/L, so it has a bit of fizz to it, similar to what you’d find a beer. Personality: Intense apricot and honey notes with hints of cereal (freshly malted grains) on the finish. It’s surprisingly light and crisp on the palate and very easy-drinking, with only 7% ABV.-Importer’s note
