<p>Williams & Humbert “Walnut Brown” Oloroso Sherry, Jerez, Andalucia, Spain, NVWalnut Brown Sherry from Williams & Humbert is a dark mahogany-coloured rich, sweet oloroso sherry made from a blend of Palomino, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel, which is aged in old oak casks in a solera system for at least four years.Very sweet oloroso (105g/L residual sugar). Dark mahogany, almost ebony. On the nose, dried nuts and faint aroma of raisins, muscatel and toasted sugar. Smooth and velvety with a warm palate owing to its alcohol content. A long finish.Critic’s Tasting Note:”A blend of palomino, pedro ximénez and moscatel grapes. Quite dark mahogany in colour, truly walnut brown. Very open, spicy, minty, fruity, pear, Christmas cake, nutty, buttery aromas. What a difference the moscatel and pedro can make. Elegant, round, soft style with medium sweetness. Good toffee, spicy, raisiny, fig, mineral buttery flavours, quite fruity and intense.
