<p>Crisp, bright, and slightly effervescent: Txakoli is the Basque response to Vinho Verde. Think delicate apple, lime zest, and unripe peach with tons of minerals and a saline, bone-dry finish. The wine is bottled early with some residual carbon dioxide to give it its signature natural spritz.</p><p>Zudugarai was founded 1989, the same year DO Getaria Txakolina was established. The Errasti family, for half a century, have been growing grapes and making wine from their vineyards, working with native Basque varieties Hondarrabi Zuri & Hondarrabi Beltza. The vineyards are close to the Bay of Biscay, nestled among rolling hills at 90 meters above sea level.
